We believe that great places online can exist in public and private networks, but share the following within those networks:
- They are accessible and well connected to other important places/tools in the network.
- They are comfortable and project a good image.
- They attract people to participate in activities there.
- They are sociable environments in which people want to interact again and again.
Team & History
Our team includes designers, engineers and strategic consultants.
designguru was founded by Studio Principal Qasim Virjee in 2005 to explore best practices for developing community on the Internet.
From its inception our approach was inspired by the work of NYC’s Project for Public Spaces and we have defined a practice on online place-making which enables communities no matter whether they come together online in public or private networks.
