I am a tech and social media strategist who launched the role of Social Media Editor at top city blog Torontoist. My writing, which mainly deals with contextualizing the impact of technology on our lives, has also appeared in NOW, The Mark, Xtra, and Financial Post.
I have worked on communications projects for Toronto Community Foundation; ChangeCamp; Holt Renfrew; and, Pride Toronto, helping to bring the $10M project World Pride to Canada in 2014.
Specifically I focus on using social media and technology to benefit nonprofits and community efforts. The results from this work with organizations such as the CLGA and the Friends For Life Bike Rally to reshape online strategies and messaging have emboldened my passion for educating people about communications tools.
I have also been honoured to speak at communications and technology conferences, including recently presenting at tech industry stalwart SxSW Interactive, and speaking at the inaugural NxNW Interactive conference.
